Timeline for Elverson EMS
• The Elverson Fire Company purchased their first ambulance, a 1934 Buick, in May of 1948.
• 1955 saw the addition of two-way radios, and we updated our ambulance to a 1953 Cadillac.
• In July 1961, we took delivery of our first NEW ambulance, an International Travelall.
• In 1967 our International ambulance was traded in for a new Pontiac-Superior.
• January of 1974 saw another major advance in our service to the community with the addition of a second ambulance; a 1974 Chevrolet Modulance. Because of this extra piece of equipment we added three more bays to the Engine Room. The expansion work wa completed in December of 1975.

• In February of 1980 the 1976 Chevy ambulance was replaced with a new Ford Yankee ambulance.

• In 2001 we replaced the wheeled Coach with a Ford E-350 Horton.
• In 2003 we replaced the E-one with a Ford E-450 Horton.
• In 2004 the ambulance had paid staff 24 hours a day to respond to emergencies.
• In 2005 talks began about Morgantown Fire Company and Elverson Fire Company merging into one fire company, at this time it was suggested that the EMS division split off into their own entity.
• In 2006 Elverson Fire Co. Ambulance became the present day Elverson EMS Inc. switching from station number 32 to station number 89.
